Moab Regional Hospital is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join the team at our newly completed Portal Pharmacy , a state-of-the-art retail pharmacy serving the Moab community.
This role offers the opportunity to deliver excellent patient-centered pharmacy care in one of Utah's most scenic locations.
Schedule
Approximately 40 hours per week with variable shiftsMust be available for required holiday coverage :Thanksgiving : 11 / 26 / 2025 – 11 / 30 / 2025Christmas : 12 / 23 / 2025 – 12 / 28 / 2025New Year's : 12 / 31 / 2025 – 1 / 2 / 2026Pharmacy Hours of Operation :
Monday–Saturday : 9 : 30 AM – 8 : 30 PMSunday : 2 : 30 PM – 7 : 30 PMKey Responsibilities Pharmacy Operations
Oversee day-to-day retail pharmacy operations in compliance with all federal and state regulationsManage and audit inventory to ensure availability, minimize waste, and optimize cost efficiencyCollaborate with suppliers and wholesalers for medication orders and transaction trackingMaintain compliance with the 340B Drug Pricing ProgramMedication Dispensing & Patient Care
Accurately interpret, verify, and dispense prescriptionsConduct medication reviews and interaction checksMaintain accurate patient medication records and ensure confidentialityAdminister immunizations under approved protocolsProvide consultations and medication counseling to patients and familiesCollaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal medication therapy managementTraining & Education
Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and studentsStay current with hospital and licensure education requirementsCommunity Engagement
Represent the pharmacy in local health events and community outreach programsFoster relationships with local providers and community stakeholdersMinimum Qualifications
Required :
Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacyCurrent and unrestricted Utah Pharmacist License (RPh)Licensure to dispense controlled substances in UtahExcellent communication, interpersonal, and computer skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamStrong understanding of pharmacy operations and compliancePreferred :
