Job descriptionKey Responsibilities : Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks to residents in accordance with established menus and dietary guidelines. Set up dining areas and ensure cleanliness and organization before and after meals. Follow proper food safety and sanitation practices in all kitchen and dining operations. Assist in the dishwashing process and maintain cleanliness of kitchen utensils and preparation areas. Ensure that meals are served in a timely manner and meet residents' individual dietary needs and preferences. Collaborate with kitchen staff and dietitians to accommodate special dietary requirements and restrictions. Provide a warm and welcoming dining experience, engaging with residents during meal times. Stock and replenish supplies as needed in dining areas and kitchen. Assist in inventory management of food and supplies, including receiving and storing groceries. Report any food safety concerns, safety hazards, or resident issues to the supervisor. Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a dietary aide or food service role is a plus but not required. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly. Compassion and patience while working with diverse populations, including elderly residents. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 25 lbs].
