We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented person to join our Application Server Administrator team. This person will be responsible for configuring, deploying, maintaining, and optimizing web application server environments that support our enterprise applications.
THE TEAM
The Application Server Administration Team supports all of Dillard's mission-critical websites. As a member of the team, you will work with a range of technologies and platforms in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, automating processes, and continuously learning new technologies. The team collaborates with one other as well as other teams in the organization to maintain and support websites.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Install, configure, and maintain application server environments (e.g., WebSphere, Tomcat, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Administer and support web applications across UNIX / Linux / AIX, Kubernetes, and Windows platforms
- Troubleshoot application server issues, analyze logs, and perform root cause analysis
- Optimize server performance and implement tuning as needed
- Collaborate with development, operations, infrastructure, and security teams
- Manage and configure CDNs and become the Akamai SME
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Perl
- Document system configurations, procedures, and processes
- Stay informed of current and future releases / enhancements of technologies, including security releases
