POSITION TITLE : Process Engineering Technician
SUMMARY :
Process Engineering Technician
- Set up, document, and troubleshoot, processing issues.
- Work with production personnel to reduce scrap and maintain a quality product.
- Monitor Np charts for main problem defect (s), plotted points trending upward or downward and initiating “Action Taken” when plotted points exceed the UCL.
- Perform product release in accordance with work instructions.
- Perform scrap audits- Are acceptable parts being perceived as scrap? Are defective parts the result of technique issues or due to machine related issues? Notify appropriate personnel to resolve and document the action taken.
- Communicate with operators, Group Leaders, and Production supervisors regarding non-conforming products, processing problems, and all-important daily activities.
- Monitor all operations for techniques, procedures, and proper adherence to documentation.
- Must be willing to work any shift.
- Must be willing to be trained on first shift for a 4–6-month period.
- Read and follow work instructions.
- Complete Press Process Audit Sheets.
