This major academic medical center operates a state-of-the-art 24-bed Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU that serves patients requiring the highest level of cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical care. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services. The medical center is equipped with advanced technology and specialized equipment to support complex cardiovascular and thoracic procedures, maintaining a daily census of approximately 19 patients in the CVICU.
