What's the role?

Upholstery Associate will be responsible for executing fabric work that meets our design and quality standards.

What you'll do :

  • Fit, install, and secure material on frames, using hand tools, power tools, glue or staples
  • Read work orders, and apply knowledge and experience with materials to determine types and amounts of materials required to cover workpieces
  • Read work orders or other instructions to determine product specifications or material requirements
  • Build furniture up with loose fiber stuffing, cotton, felt or foam padding to form smooth, rounded surfaces
  • Draw cutting lines on material following patterns, templates, sketches, or blueprints, using chalk, pencils, paint or other methods
  • Measure and cut new covering materials, using patterns and measuring and cutting instruments, following sketches and design specifications
  • Operate sewing machines or sew upholstery by hand to seam cushions and join various sections of covering material
  • Customize raw product to accommodate the necessary product requirements
  • Maintain production board daily
  • Conduct quality inspections of all production performed per station
  • Collaborate with Operations Department team members to ensure projects are completed on time
  • Maintain LEAN and Core Values at all times
  • What you need :

  • Basic knowledge of using and operating upholstery machinery and equipment
  • Ability to work as a team, and coordinate workings with both warehouse staff and office personnel
  • Must have positive attitude, ability to work with limited supervision and desire to work hard
  • Prior upholstery experience preferred
  • Time management skill
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Based out of San Antonio, Texas, Monday-Friday 6 : 00am - 3 : 00pm
