Job Summary and Qualifications
Qualifications :
Minimum education and experience requirements include :
Education : Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Sciences program.Experience : At least one year of experience in Radiology.Completion of all initial and ongoing training as required by the facility and department.Required Licensure / Certifications :
Required : Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and Texas Medical Board certification, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Preferred : Vascular Interventional Certification (ARRT VI).Key Responsibilities :
Perform interventional radiologic procedures, mainly angiography, under a physician's guidance, while utilizing ionizing radiation and other diagnostic techniques.Demonstrate proficiency in all standard and advanced diagnostic interventional radiology procedures, including room setup and use of power injectors.Work within established protocols and practices under the supervision of a credentialed radiologist or vascular surgeon.Assist with complex vascular and therapeutic imaging procedures, including but not limited to angiograms, vascular stenting, embolizations, and stroke interventions.Participate in the on-call rotation, ensuring availability within 30 minutes to meet response time for neurological emergencies.Manage post-procedure duties, including holding pressure and using closure devices, operating ultrasound machines, and assisting with embolization preparations.Additional Responsibilities :
Support the mission of the Methodist Healthcare System and its strategic goals.Adhere to safety policies and investigate unsafe conditions promptly.Uphold the standards and ethics outlined in the MHS Code of Conduct and report any ethical concerns.Perform additional duties as necessary.You must obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment and hold an Associate Degree in a related field, in addition to being a Registered Radiologic Technologist.
