Salary : $12.00-$15.00

Position Summary

The primary function of the full-time Office Filing Clerk / Custodial Support employee is to support the daily administrative operations and provide general custodial support to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Administrative & Filing Duties :

  • Ensure all papers are sorted properly (by alphabet content dates significance and son on)
  • Review incoming paperwork and make copies before distributing.
  • Create and manage records with new information.
  • Keep all paperwork in appropriate places applying security measures to important documents.
  • Organize converting the documentation into electronic format either by data entry or by optical scanning.
  • Respond to requests to access files and keep logs of borrowed papers.
  • Monitor inventory of files paper clips etc. and report shortages.
  • Maintain an efficient filing system to facilitate updating and retrieving files.
  • Any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Custodial and Maintenance Duties :

  • Perform routine cleaning of office areas, restrooms, breakrooms, and shared spaces.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum high traffic areas daily; other floors weekly.
  • Empty trash : replace liners as needed.
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces, windows, and frequently touched areas.
  • Restock cleaning and restroom supplies.
  • Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in entryways, meeting rooms, and common areas.
  • Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly to management.
  • Direct and assist in the removal of weeds and trash around the outside facilities to maintain a clean aesthetic environment.
  • Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Good experience of working with filing systems.
  • Good practical experience with MS Office and office equipment such as photocopier scanner etc.
  • Effective communication and a high level of understanding English both oral and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, time management, and reliability in completing assigned tasks.

    While performing the duties of this Job, the employee may be required to stay in a stationary position or stand for extended periods of time. The employee may be required to have manual dexterity, physical reflexes and personal mobility and stamina, to frequently lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements for this position include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus, with or without reasonable accommodation.

    Work Environment :

    Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor settings throughout the wastewater treatment plant, including offices, control rooms, laboratories, and process areas. Employees in this environment may be exposed to unpleasant odors, loud noise, wet or humid conditions, and wastewater or related by-products. The position involves exposure to biological and chemical substances, as well as moving mechanical parts and potentially slippery or uneven surfaces. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, masks, safety glasses, and protective clothing, is provided and required to ensure employee safety.
