Description :
We are looking for a Commercial Plumbing Superintendent to be a cornerstone of our construction plumbing department. In this role, you will lead the charge on commercial plumbing projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, safely, and built to the highest standards of quality.
This position is ideal for someone with extensive field experience, deep technical knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and codes, a strong work ethic, and natural leadership by example . Your primary focus will be field leadership and production , making sure every project stays on schedule, meets our quality standards, and adheres to safety protocols.
Compensation : $36 - $44 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule : Variable Shifts - Need Flexibility based on Project needs.
Responsibilities :
- Field Leadership : Serve as the on-site leader for the plumbing trade. Interpret blueprints, coordinate with plumbing foremen, and ensure projects progress according to plan.
- Field Oversight : Manage manpower, materials, and equipment to maximize productivity, maintain efficiency, and keep projects on schedule.
- Supervision & Development : Directly supervise and mentor plumbing crews, uphold safety protocols, and ensure all installations meet quality and compliance standards. Provide feedback to leadership regarding personnel decisions, including potential hires or removals from your team.
- Project Oversight & Reporting : Track and document job progress, identify and communicate change order needs, support smooth project closeouts, and lead final walkthroughs with clients and project managers.
Requirements :
Experience : 5+ years of commercial plumbing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.Technical Knowledge : Strong understanding of plumbing codes, standards, and commercial installation practices.Blueprint & Document Skills : Proven ability to read and interpret construction documents, including blueprints, schematics, and specifications, and coordinate effectively across trades.Leadership & Communication : Excellent leadership and communication skills; able to mentor crews, foster accountability, and maintain high morale on the jobsite.Problem-Solving : Decisive and proactive in resolving issues as they arise, ensuring safety and quality are never compromised.Safety : OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.Transportation : Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.Benefits :
