Responsibilities Work on a 32-bed Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1 : 6 Night shifts (4x12 hours, 18 : 30-07 : 00) with required weekend rotations (6 shifts every 6 weeks) Floating required to similar units as needed No on-call requirements Utilizes Epic for computerized charting Duties include O2 protocol management, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care, isolation precautions, and rapid response team activation Brief orientation provided on unit with completion of onsite modules during orientation (4-6 hours for RN) Unit accepts first-time travelers No travel pairs or groups will be considered No more than 3 days of requested time off will be automatically approved, and no time off granted during the first week of orientation Scrub requirements and additional dress code information are not specified Requirements Active NM or compact RN license required at time of consideration Basic Life Support (BCLS) required CPI certification preferred Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg RN experience required Experience with Epic preferred but not required Locals within 50 miles are not accepted Former perm staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622216.
