Rehabilitation Services Manager
Manages the daily operations of Rehabilitative Services to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital rehabilitation center provides a kid friendly and family centered approach to rehabilitation. We provide one-on-one individualized care with highly experienced pediatric therapists that specialize in sensory integration, neuromotor development, feeding, apraxia and much more. We treat a wide range of ages and diagnoses in five outpatient locations in Broward & Palm Beach counties, support the inpatient acute care therapy needs of the hospital in addition to the six-bed inpatient rehab unit and participate in several multi-disciplinary clinics with our physicians.
Coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. May provide patient care when necessary. Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems / equipment / supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and / or stock supplies. Monitors and ensures compliance with department objectives. Collaborates with other unit leaders to meet system goals and objectives including patient safety and satisfaction. Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and provides appropriate remediation through coaching, counseling and action plans. Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, hiring, payroll, and student engagements. Collaborates with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.

Complexity of Work : Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience : One (1) year supervisory experience. Other Information : Florida state licensure as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist. Additional Education Info : Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology or in a related program. Additional Credential Info : Florida state licensure as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements :
75 lbs Non-Patient = 40%
75 lbs Non-Patient = 80%
Shift : Primarily for office workers - not eligible for shift differential
