Quality Systems Specialist

The FSQA / RD Systems Specialist position provides information technology capabilities to design, collect, analyze, maintain, and communicate Gorton's FSQA and R&D data and systems. Position will ensure accuracy, data integrity, and security of FSQA and R&D systems for Gorton's to maintain a world class level of quality, food safety, and legality. As part of the systems team, you will act as a liaison to IT and other departments within the organization as related to R&D and FSQA data and systems, utilizing your IT knowledge while learning the technical aspects of the R&D and FSQA fields.

What You'll Do

• Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of new FSQA and R&D data analysis methods
• Assist with the development, implementation, and administration of quality oversight systems; includes development of new FSQA surveillance monitoring programs resulting from new items, materials, suppliers, and co-packers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address FSQA and R&D technology challenges
• Provide training and support to personnel on various internal systems and SaaS applications
• Perform system improvements and system maintenance of FSQA and R&D systems as necessary
• Support the development of data models for advanced analytics in the FSQA and R&D fields
• Research new technology trends and opportunities within the FSQA and R&D fields
