Join our team as an Acquisition Bookkeeper, where you'll play a vital role in managing financial records for H&R Block clients. As a key figure in maintaining accurate books, you'll ensure compliance with policies and procedures while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
A Typical Day :
- Receive operational data and determine the best method to accurately record financial information including income, expenses, and bank charges. Enter data into the bookkeeping system.
- Ensure checks are properly endorsed and deposited daily. Handle all charge card transactions promptly and report relevant financial data.
- Balance and reconcile ledgers, integrating them into the client's general ledger. Regularly reconcile cash and bank accounts to verify accuracy.
- Develop comprehensive reports for clients regarding income, expenses, and taxes on a periodic basis.
- Perform payroll services as required, including the preparation of payroll checks and all related reports, abiding by local, state, and federal laws.
- Maintain a manual filing system for hard-copy documents after they are entered into the record-keeping system.
- Identify and report any process issues, along with potential solutions, to management and the client to ensure clarity and efficiency in financial record maintenance.
- Participate in ongoing training and meetings to enhance bookkeeping services and improve job performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
