The unit provides high-acuity patient care within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Unit Details Unit Size : 42 beds 21 Medical-Telemetry 21 Intermediate Care Staffing Ratios : Intermediate Care : 1 : 3 Medical-Telemetry : 1 : 6 Common Patient Diagnoses Pneumonia (PNA) COPD Exacerbation Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) / Hyperosmolar Hyperglycemic State (HHS) Alcohol Withdrawal Gastrointestinal Bleed (GIB) Sepsis Pulmonary Embolism (PE) Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) Respiratory Failure Required Skills & Experience Experience : Minimum 1–2 years of acute care experience preferred Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Technical Skills : Proficient in managing tracheostomies, ventilators, and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) Experienced with cardiac drips, BiPAP, and telemetry monitoring Additional Information RNs may float to other units as needed.
