K-Electrical is seeking a licensed and skilled Journeyman Electrician to perform commercial electrical work, primarily focused on interior office space remodels. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems while ensuring all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes. This role requires a high degree of professionalism, independent problem-solving ability, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities :

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures within commercial properties, with a focus on interior office remodel projects.

Read and accurately interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical specifications to determine the layout and installation of electrical systems.

Troubleshoot and diagnose complex electrical issues and implement effective solutions using advanced techniques and testing devices.

Install conduit systems (e.g., EMT, Rigid conduit, MC cable), pull wire, terminate panels, and install various lighting and power components.

Ensure all electrical installations and repairs meet the standards of the National Electrical Code and state / local codes.

Maintain a safe work environment by adhering strictly to all company safety guidelines and OSHA requirements.

Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other trades on job sites.

Complete necessary documentation, including work orders, inspection reports, and materials logs.

Mentor and provide direction to Apprentice Electricians, if applicable.

Keep company vehicle, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.

Required Qualifications :

Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician License (Required).

Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in commercial electrical work, preferably in tenant improvement or remodel projects.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and technical diagrams.

Extensive working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and relevant local building codes.

Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record (Required).

Additional Requirements :

This position includes the provision of a Company Service Van for transportation to and from the employee's residence and various job sites for business use only.

The employee must have a safe and legally acceptable location to park the service van at their residence when not in use.

Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet project deadlines and business demands.

Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing ladders, standing for long periods, bending, stooping, and working in confined spaces.
