Job Description
This is a per diem RN position in medical oncology (Cancer Center). The hours for the Cancer Center are 8a-6p, 7 days a week.
Position Summary :
The Oncology nurse provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients and is responsible for delivery of coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, and evidence-based quality care. Practicing in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act in the state of employment, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics, and the ANA scope and standards of practice.
Experience :
A minimum of two years of practice as a registered nurse in an acute care setting is preferred but not required.
Education :
Graduate of an Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited nursing program. A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred but not required.
Licenses :
Essential Functions :
1. Employs Nursing Professional Practice by assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patients’ care. 2. Develops updates and coordinates patient plan of care to achieve patient goals.
3. Optimizes patient outcomes and helps patient transition across the care continuum.
2. Follows provider orders in relation to patient care and documents interventions.
2. Provides patients with the education material needed to ensure health literacy.

The range for this position is $37.50-$53.06 plus 15% per diem diff.
