Job Summary

Prepare incoming and outgoing mail for distribution. Loads and unloads mail containers. May move equipment and operate motorized vehicles for the purpose of transporting mail. This is a split schedule. Mon - Thurs, 3am-6am and 9pm-12am. Friday, 6am-9am and 9pm-12am.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, verifies, and scans mail and freight. Ensures mail is in suitable condition for processing.
• Safely operates vehicles for the purpose of loading / unloading mail.
• Lifts and unloads containers of mail or parcels onto equipment for transport.
• Builds and breaks down mail and freight.
• Removes containers of sorted mail or parcels and transfers them to designated areas according to established procedures.
• Accepts and checks containers of mail or parcels from large volume mailers, couriers, and contractors.
