Warehouse Manager Job Duties

• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Ensures safety of warehouse operations and contents by monitoring safety procedures and protocols.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciles with data storage system.
• Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
• Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of warehouse and receiving associates; ensures their ability to safely operate equipment to move product; counsels, records and disciplines as necessary.
• Monitors the unloading of all items into the warehouse; ensures items are staged for picking and counting; ensures receiving reports accurately report items received. Resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, etc.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Required Education and Experience

Supervisory Responsibility

This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office and warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Must be willing to work extended hours that may vary on a daily basis and communicate with branch manager regarding time off requirements when necessary.
