Responsibilities Work in the Neuro ICU within a hospital setting Typical patient ratio is 1 : 2 Night shifts, four 12-hour shifts per week from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30 Required to work every other weekend and cover 50% of contract holidays Floating required to ICU and Med Surg units and may serve as Patient Observer (sitter) in various areas Uses Cerner EMR system (Cerner experience preferred but not required) Provide specialized care to neurocritical patients, including those with stroke Must be willing to float to other units, including ICU, Med Surg, and Patient Observer roles as needed Modules are required during orientation and annually, with completion tracked onsite Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate if residing within 75 miles First-time travelers are welcome to apply Holiday and weekend coverage is required per contract Requirements Active MO or compact RN license in hand At least 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year of recent Neuro ICU experience Current BLS and ACLS certifications required CPI certification preferred; may be obtained onsite if not already held Experience caring for neurological and stroke patients required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618482.
