Cardiovascular / Healthcare Front Office Admin-Med Center (Bilingual)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Front Office Administrator to join our healthcare team. TLC Vascular of Houston is a physician led private practice Vascular / Cardiology group with offices near Med Center and Red Oak.

As the Front Office Administrator, you are at the forefront of our customer service, and the bridge between the office and billing department. The perfect candidate would possess the following :

  • A thorough understanding of Customer service
  • Front Office Experience
  • Knowledge of eligibility, referrals / authorizations process

Duties :

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors with top-level customer service
  • Utilize the EMR to enhance customer experience
  • Answering inbound telephone calls
  • Register all patient demographics and Insurance information
  • Obtain necessary paperwork including informed consents
  • Maintains confidentiality of patent PHI according to practice and HIPAA guidelines
  • Scheduling, reschedule and cancel appointments as necessary
  • Communicate with insurance for eligibility, referrals / authorization for all upcoming appointments
  • Collect Co-Pays; work with billing department to resolve patient balances
  • Process medical record requests
  • Documents information with accuracy and appropriate level of detail in EMR
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment for patients and visitors
  • Partners with other departments to support including cross-training where applicable
  • Other duties as necessary
  • Qualifications :

  • Atleast 2+ years of Front office admin / office management experience preferred.
  • Cardiovascular experience preferred.
  • Excellent and strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Empathize and demonstrate concern for patient's problems and well-being
  • Works week with others in a team environment
  • Possesses good problem-solving skills
  • Detailed oriented, with the ability to prioritize work assignments, able to work independently
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Teams a plus
  • Knowledge of eCW a plus
  • Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Prior experience in customer service preferred
