Job description

We’re looking for a Vice President of Information Technology (VP of IT) to lead technology strategy and operations across RMS Energy. In this role, you’ll set the vision, execution, and optimization of all IT initiatives, from enterprise platforms and field data capture to cybersecurity, analytics, and client-facing tools. You’ll partner with executive leadership to align technology with business priorities, safeguard critical systems, and drive digital transformation that enhances efficiency, customer experience, and revenue growth. What You’ll Do :

  • Develop and execute RMS Energy’s enterprise-wide technology strategy aligned with growth objectives and operational needs
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO, CTO, and executive team, translating complex technology into business value
  • Lead IT planning, budgeting, and ROI modeling to ensure resources align with priorities and deliver measurable outcomes
  • Spearhead end-to-end software development initiatives across the full stack (front-end, back-end, databases, APIs, and cloud infrastructure) to support business-critical applications and digital platforms
  • Establish and enforce development best practices, including secure coding standards, agile methodologies, DevOps pipelines, and automated testing to improve code quality and time-to-market
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, evaluating emerging tools such as AI, automation, IoT, and cloud solutions
  • Oversee architecture, deployment, and optimization of ERP, HRIS, CRM, and field service management platforms
  • Ensure reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure to support a national remote workforce and field operations
  • Partner with business leaders to identify technology opportunities that improve workflows and project delivery, whilebalancing customization, scalability, and cost efficiency
  • Develop and implement robust cybersecurity policies, practices, and training programs
  • Continuously assess threats and maintain proactive risk mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with regulations (PII, HIPAA, PCI DSS where applicable)
  • Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning to ensure operational resilience
  • Build and mature RMS Energy’s data architecture to support real-time decision-making, predictive analytics, andbusiness intelligence
  • Establish data governance frameworks that ensure quality, integrity, and accessibility of enterprise data
  • Leverage analytics and AI tools to provide actionable insights into performance, utilization, satisfaction, and revenue

The Experience We’re Looking For :

  • 15+ years of progressive IT leadership, including 7+ years in senior leadership roles
  • Demonstrated success leading technology strategy in a distributed, remote workforce environment
  • Deep expertise in infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, enterprise software, ERP / CRM systems, DevOps, and data analytics
  • Proven track record of leading digital transformation and implementing scalable solutions that drive growth
  • Additional Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Ability to travel up to 20% across the U.S. to support offices and job sites
  • Successfully pass a stringent background check and drug screening
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Bonus Points For :

  • Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or Business Administration
  • PMP, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certifications
  • Experience in construction, utilities, or field-based service industries
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise digital transformation and AI-driven initiatives
