Highland Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic therapy department!
In this rewarding full-time role, you’ll provide evaluation and treatment for residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders — helping them achieve their highest potential in a supportive, resident-centered environment.
Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing impairments.
Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
Accurately document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries per facility and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, and case management to ensure coordinated care.
Educate residents, families, and staff on communication techniques and safe swallowing strategies.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Active New York State SLP license (or eligibility for licensure).
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
Prior SNF, post-acute, or long-term care experience preferred but not required.
Excellent communication, documentation, and time management skills.
