Role Description
This is a part or full-time role located in Charlotte, NC for a Special Education Teacher. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for teaching and supporting middle school students with disabilities. Day-to-day tasks include developing individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborating with other educators and support staff, tracking student progress, and implementing specialized teaching strategies. The role also involves communicating effectively with students, parents, and professionals to ensure the educational needs of the students are being met.
Qualifications
Experience with Teaching and Special Education
Knowledge of Disabilities
Experience working with Middle School students
Strong Communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Valid teaching certification in special education
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Special Education
Patience, empathy, and dedication to supporting student success
