About The Position

Job Title : ICU RN

Profession : Registered Nurse

Duration : 20 weeks

Shift : Day and Night rotation

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in SICU

License : Valid state license required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC

Must-Have : Bed Side Shift Reporting (BSSR), utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding

Description :

ASAP start is required.

The position requires 36 hours per week.

Shifts will typically alternate between 3 weeks of day and 3 weeks of night.

The manager will discuss specifics during the interview.

Floating to other units may be necessary as needed.

Communication using AIDET is essential.

Great customer service and phone etiquette are expectations.

Candidates must have experience managing arterial lines, blood products administration, and care of ventilated patients.

Central line care and continuous IV sedation experience are required.

Knowledge in managing dysrhythmias, ICP monitoring, and post-surgery care is essential.

Candidates should have experience in trauma care and managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure.

Special procedures such as Bed Side Shift Reporting and hourly rounding are required for all units.

Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

Candidates should be prepared to float within the facility as needed.
