Forklift Operator
Safely operate a Hilo (sit down) forklift and overhead crane to unload raw materials, maintain an orderly stock room, and pull and stage materials for production within the facility.
Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs. Remove finished goods and transfer them to designated areas. Utilize a tape measure for proper dimensions of product for staging for the stamping presses, ensuring accuracy.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, receipts, and production supplies. Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Check product labels, quantities, and lot numbers against work orders. Inspect materials for damage or defects before staging for production. Communicate discrepancies to supervisors and coordinate corrective actions. Track material movement using warehouse management systems (WMS) or production logs.
Experience in operating a Hilo (sit down) lift truck, with bonus points for crane operation. Experience with unloading, staging, finished goods, and inventory management. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to read a tape measure to verify product dimensions. Experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Basic computer skills for inventory management.
Experience with hand tools, inspection, general labor, quality checks, production, inventory, and blueprint reading. Machine operation, setup, fabrication, use of calipers, and changeovers. Physical ability to stand for an entire shift, perform repetitive motions, and frequently lift and move materials up to 50 pounds or more.

Work shifts are available on both day and night schedules. Day shifts run Monday through Friday from 6 : 30 am to 3 : 00 pm. Night shifts run Monday through Friday from 10 : 30 pm to 7 : 00 am, with overtime possible but not guaranteed. The night shift operators will be training on day shifts until January 5, 2026, when the overnight shift officially begins. The work environment is a brand new, large, and clean manufacturing facility in the stamping department, featuring highly automated press equipment.
Safety gear such as steel-toed boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, and high-visibility vests is mandatory. The dress code includes jeans or work pants without holes, rips, shorts, or leggings, and shirts can be T-shirts or polos without vulgar language, images, or contraband.
This is a Contract position based out of Stanton, TN. The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 / hr.
