Patient Navigator
The Patient Navigator performs several duties including scheduling appointments, answering incoming calls, taking messages, identifying insurance coverage, working with patient referrals, and in basket management using Epic. This role is essential for ensuring seamless communication, patient scheduling, and adherence to workflow protocols from a remote environment.
Qualifications : Education, skills and experience :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous medical office experience preferred
- Experience with computers and the ability to learn, navigate and function in various computer applications
- Must possess strong customer service skills with the ability to work well and interact with others
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule between 8am-5pm and be available to work in emergency type situations such as hurricanes, floods, or other inclement weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and to comply with HIPAA guidelines
- Minimum typing speed of 30 Wpm required
