Electrical Design & Analysis Engineer (contract)
Contract position with Boeing. This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer. Candidates selected will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved third party for the duration of the project.
The Boeing Company has an opportunity for a contract Electronic Systems Design, Analysis, and Test Engineer for current and emerging programs in the St. Louis region, including Berkeley, MO; Hazelwood, MO; St. Charles, MO; and Mascoutah, IL. Programs span multiple Boeing capability centers and include work in Platform Cybersecurity, Product Security, Flight Simulation, Radar Development, and Advanced Mission Systems, among others. Some programs involve domestic and international travel. A final U.S. Secret or Top-Secret Clearance Post-Start is required, and special program access or other government access may be required.
Position Responsibilities
- Understand and apply job practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts.
- Develop, document and maintain electronic and electrical system requirements aligned with customer desires and contract requirements.
- Develop statements of work and technical performance specifications.
- Translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs, and interface specifications with traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
- Test and validate that system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
- Resolve product integration issues and production anomalies.
- Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs and potential applications.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and requirement compliance.
- Design hardware, software and interface specifications; develop and document moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
- Address problems with fielded hardware and software across the product lifecycle.
- Work onsite at one of the listed location options (100% onsite; some programs may require travel).
A final U.S. Secret or Top-Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements may be required for these positions.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
Bachelor of Science in engineering, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited program.Currently reside in Oregon and willing to relocate to the St. Louis, Missouri region (or equivalent relocation plans).Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the Aerospace Industry.Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills; able to work in a team environment.Experience with design / build or test teams and in creating, developing, or maintaining engineering processes.Experience with electronic / electrical system designs or tests based on requirements.Strong knowledge of data structures, system design, and architecture.Typical Education / Experience
Associate Level 2 : typically 2+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (ABET preferred but not required).Experienced Level 3 : typically 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (ABET preferred but not required).Pay and Benefits
