Corporate Counsel, Claims Litigation

A company is looking for a Corporate Counsel, Claims Litigation.

Key Responsibilities

Manage complex litigation, including bad faith and extra-contractual allegations against the Company

Effectively manage outside counsel and provide legal advice to senior leadership on claims operations

Proactively monitor changes in laws and regulations, advising leadership on their impact

Required Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school; active state bar membership

At least 5 years of litigation experience, with a total of 15 or more years of professional experience preferred

Demonstrated experience in handling bad faith or extra-contractual litigation

1st or 2nd chair trial and / or appellate experience

Up-to-date understanding of legal issues relevant to the insurance industry
