Regional CIO
The Regional CIO provides leadership for strategic planning, budgeting, developing, coordinating, and evaluating all aspects of information systems operations including clinical, networking, financial and administrative information systems strategies to support user needs for information and technology solutions across the organization. Additionally, the RCIO is accountable for creating, supporting, and directing the development of market information systems short- and long-range plans in concert with hospital goals and objectives for select CHS hospitals based on and in collaboration with CHS corporate strategy and direction ensuring alignment with hospital and market strategies as well as maximizing physician engagement. RCIO also acts in connecting information security and business, overseeing the details of strategy implementation; serving as a tactical and operations-level ambassador.
Job Requirements :
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with market executives serving as a consultative partner on all technology topics to include articulation of short- and long-term strategic goals and operational implications.
- Demonstrates ability to effectively lead initiative in planning, development, and execution of business process re-engineering, architecture, analytics, contract management, financial management, and resource management.
- Actively partner with market executives / business on technology needs from ideation to disciplined demand / project management and fulfillment including market-level portfolio prioritization.
- Recruits, hires, evaluates, develops, and retains staff with appropriate skills to design, implement, and support complex hospital and physician practice information technology and systems.
- Directs the evolution of the information systems staff organization in concert with hospital, division, and corporate goals and objectives.
- Ensures on-time and on-budget performance of information systems operations and projects, and compliance with regulations and hospital and corporate policies.
- Uses metrics to demonstrate value and quality of information systems and projects. Defines appropriate service levels and regularly reports on system availability and performance.
- Provides exceptional communication with all stakeholders regarding facility / market-level technology portfolio.
- Staying updated on IT trends and emerging technologies for regional needs; developing and enforcing IT best practices across the regional organization; ensuring IT strategies and processes support company-wide goals; and align to regional strategies.
- Oversees relationships with vendors, contractors and service providers at regional level and aligned to corporate dictates.
- Oversees Information Security alignment with business.
Job Qualifications :
Ten (10) years progressive experience in hospital information systems with a minimum of five (5) years in a leadership role with experience in information services management, implementation, program / project management and user support.Degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or hospital management. (Masters preferred)Demonstrates a high level of administrative and analytical skills necessary to provide overall direction and strategic planning in an information service environment.Demonstrates an extremely high level of interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with all customers.Demonstrates extensive knowledge of information processing and distribution systems including application / programming tools, voice, data, video, imaging and text communication systems and related networks, as well as applicable regulations.Preferred :
