Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting

Location : Hybrid (Washington, DC Metro Area) - In-office presence 1-3 times / month

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong SEC reporting experience and a passion for technical accounting. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review SEC filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and other regulatory reports.
• Draft financial statements and footnote disclosures in compliance with US GAAP.
• Coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audits with external auditors.
• Support monthly controller reporting by gathering and analyzing data across departments.
• Conduct quarterly variance analysis on balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Research and document technical accounting issues and new pronouncements.
• Review journal entries and reconciliations for complex accounting areas.
• Assist with accounting for business combinations and investments.
• Execute key internal controls and identify opportunities for automation.
• Supervise and mentor financial reporting staff.
• Provide backup support and contribute to special projects as needed.
