Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient rehabilitation unit with 2 years of specialty experience and BLS certification required.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Inpatient rehabilitation physical therapy position within a 12-bed hospital unit
  • Primary patient population includes neuro, cardiac, oncology, orthopedics, and general medicine cases
  • Average daily census ranges from 7 to 12 patients
  • Monday through Friday day shifts, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, with 2 weekend days per month required
  • Potential to float to in-house rehabilitation center (IRC) if needed
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • First-time travelers with appropriate experience are welcome to apply
  • No on-call duties required
  • Pass / fail clinical skills exam required prior to start, with a maximum of three attempts
  • Completion of modules required during orientation
  • PA fingerprints required before assignment, with results valid for up to five years
  • Must submit all requested references and certifications for consideration
  • 50-mile local radius rule applies; local candidates accepted at a differential rate
  • RTO (requested time off) must be declared prior to submission; no changes after submission accepted
  • Standard hospital dress code and infection control policies apply

  • Current state PT license required; compact license accepted if applicable
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in inpatient rehabilitation or related specialty
  • BLS certification required
  • Experience working with neuro, ortho, cardiac, and multi-trauma populations
  • Ability to float to similar rehab units as needed
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • License required if applicable
