Job descriptionLead all construction operations and take full ownership of financial performance across assigned projects Oversee end-to-end execution of commercial construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout Drive business development efforts , including estimating, negotiating scopes, and building strategic partnerships Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring satisfaction and long-term relationship growth Mentor, coach, and support project teams to encourage professional growth and internal advancement Ensure adherence to company safety policies and promote a culture of accountability and risk mitigation Provide technical oversight and problem-solving guidance on MEP systems and jobsite challenges Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on scheduling, budgeting, and progress tracking Monitor and communicate timeline, cost, and risk forecasts to executive leadership and project teams Ensure projects meet contractual and regulatory compliance requirements at all stages Cultivate and maintain strong industry relationships with subcontractors, design teams, and vendors 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial construction , including ground-up and renovation projects Demonstrated experience delivering HVAC, plumbing, and MEP-intensive scopes in commercial or industrial environments Educational background in Construction Management, Engineering , or a related technical field (degree preferred but not required) Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with a focus on driving performance Proficiency in construction and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, project scheduling tools, document control platforms) Experience with design-build and other collaborative delivery methods Comfortable working in both field and office environments Willingness to relocate to or work in the Birmingham, AL area and travel regionally as needed

Position Summary :
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic VP of Project Management to lead our construction operations based in Birmingham, AL . This role requires a minimum of 10 years of commercial construction leadership experience , with a strong technical background and a proven ability to manage large-scale, complex projects. The VP of Construction will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution, team development, financial performance, and client satisfaction.
This is a high-impact leadership role suited for a candidate who thrives in a collaborative environment, upholds the highest standards of quality and integrity, and is passionate about delivering excellence across every phase of construction.
