Maintenance Manager
The Maintenance Manager works closely with plant management, plant engineers, maintenance, environmental, safety, operations and contractors. The position reports directly to the Sr. Maintenance Manager located in McArthur, Ohio.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Leads two maintenance supervisors, two maintenance planners, and an inventory clerk.
- Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair.
- Implement workplace safety policies and standards.
- Prioritize work across the maintenance organization.
- Step in to help coordinate more complex maintenance work.
- Ensure the availability of necessary tools and equipment.
- Maintain monthly maintenance KPI reporting.
- Manage the work order process effectively.
- Record and track daily work order progress.
- Monitor work order backlog relative to available staffing
Education and Experience
College or technical degree preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredProfessional leadership experience preferredComputerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) certification preferred5+ year previous maintenance experience requiredExperience in highly automated manufacturing preferredSkills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Possess a strong understanding of electrical theory and be able to read and understand wiring diagrams.Possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and be able to read and understand detail and process & instrumentation drawings.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to lift heavy objects and do other labor-intensive tasksExcellent time management and multitasking skills.Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles.Great leadership and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Work Environment
This position requires minimal travel. 80% of time will be spent in all areas of the plant, both indoors and outdoors, in all-weather elements.
