Job Summary :
A Network Field Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of network infrastructure. This role involves providing hands-on field support, troubleshooting network-related issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of network systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and Configuration : Design, configure, and test networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software.
- Installation and Maintenance : Install, support, and maintain new network hardware and software infrastructure.
- User Support : Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords; respond to technical support calls from end users.
- Monitoring and Security : Monitor network usage and security to ensure networks are running smoothly with maximum performance and availability.
- Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems; replace faulty network hardware components as required.
- Documentation : Prepare and maintain documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts.
Collaboration : Work with vendors or other IT personnel for problem resolution.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Certifications : Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.Experience : Proven experience in network engineering and troubleshooting.Skills : Strong understanding of network infrastructure and hardware, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.Additional Requirements :
Travel : Willingness to travel to different locations for network installations and troubleshooting.
Communication : Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
