Network Field Engineer

Job Summary :

A Network Field Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of network infrastructure. This role involves providing hands-on field support, troubleshooting network-related issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of network systems.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and Configuration : Design, configure, and test networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software.
• Installation and Maintenance : Install, support, and maintain new network hardware and software infrastructure.
• User Support : Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords; respond to technical support calls from end users.
• Monitoring and Security : Monitor network usage and security to ensure networks are running smoothly with maximum performance and availability.
• Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems; replace faulty network hardware components as required.
• Documentation : Prepare and maintain documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts.

Collaboration : Work with vendors or other IT personnel for problem resolution.
