Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position with night shifts in California requiring a current CA RN license and at least 2 years of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

\n

  • Work in a Med / Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
  • Night shifts with a 3x12 schedule from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30
  • Patient population includes acute medical and telemetry cases
  • Required to float to all Med / Surg and Telemetry units based on hospital census
  • Documentation is completed using Epic EMR
  • A minimum of 4 weekend shifts required in each 4-week scheduling cycle
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply if experience criteria are met
  • Holiday shifts are required as part of the rotation
  • Pre-assigned education modules must be completed prior to start
  • Requested time off must be included with application and is subject to manager approval, with restrictions of no more than 5 days
  • Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted
  • Staff may float to other Med / Surg and Telemetry units as needed

    Requirements

    \n

  • Active CA RN license in hand
  • At least 2 years of recent acute care RN experience
  • Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, CPI
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret EKG strips
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred
  • No prior permanent employment with the facility
  • Clean license verification with no disciplinary actions
  • At least one reference from within the past two years
