AbbVie is looking for an experienced Specialty Representative to promote our gastroenterology portfolio in Grand Rapids, MI. The role focuses on building strong customer relationships, executing brand strategy, and driving sales performance in the field.
Base pay range : $78,500 - $192,500 per year.

Job Description
Execute brand strategy and field tactics, manage assigned territory and accounts, build trusted customer relationships, and deliver short‑and‑long‑term sales performance. All activities are conducted within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and all applicable laws.
Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial targets to meet or exceed objectives.
- Plan calls with SMART objectives, conduct post‑call reviews, and continuously improve sales effectiveness.
- Proactively serve customer needs and expectations to build win‑win relationships.
- Execute a call plan that maximizes access and sales opportunities while ensuring coverage and frequency.
- Share market intelligence with the in‑field team, brand team, and sales manager to align strategy and anticipate environmental changes.
- Differentiated AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers; develop and maintain disease‑state experts and advocates to maximize brand performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business‑related field preferred.At least five (5) years of relevant industry experience; or a high school diploma / GED with five (5) years of equivalent experience.In‑depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; expert resource to stakeholders.Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and proficiency with business tools.Proven track record in selling, solid presentation skills, and adaptive selling approach.Influences others, credible role model, and collaborative partnership with district colleagues.Leadership experience with increased responsibility at district, region, or organizational levels.Preferred : Proven sales performance within therapeutic areas and commercial pharmaceutical experience.English language proficiency, written and verbal.HCIR credentialing requirements and safe driving requirements.Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.Key Stakeholders
External : Specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other brand plan stakeholders.Internal : In‑field team members, Sales Management (DSM), Marketing Management, Training, Customer Excellence, and Brand Plan stakeholders.Additional Information
