As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a retail environment, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the location, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence for customers and staff. What You'll Do : Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail environment and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior. Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter theft, disturbances, and / or other unwanted activity. Interact with employees, visitors, and / or customers in a professional manner while upholding the location's security-related protocols. Document and report incidents, observations, and / or any unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and location guidelines. Minimum Requirements : Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree. Be at least 21 years of age. Hold a Level III Armed Certification for Texas. An armed guard card or license is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
