POSITION SUMMARY : Material Handler

We are looking for a Material Handler experienced in manufacturing to join our dynamic team in Gainesville, Texas . This position is responsible for handling raw materials needed for the operation of injection molding machines, issuing and / or staging of materials and the use of central material loading systems.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES :

  • Support molding production material requirements
  • Operate rotating mixer and add raw plastic pellets as instructed
  • Operate and feed used material into re-grinders
  • Carry material up and down a movable step ladders
  • Mix, blend dry and color raw materials in accordance with bill of material
  • Providing material and paperwork to production
  • Assemble and disassemble drying equipment for material change overs
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness of material during production runs
  • Maintaining inventory control
  • Forklift operation
  • Reports to work on time and adheres to lunch and break schedules
  • Complete special projects and perform other duties as assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Ability to use basic measurement tools
  • Ability to perform basic math functions
  • Ability to differentiate colors
  • Ability to work in hot or cold temperature climates for extended periods
  • Ability to walk and / or stand for extended periods
  • Must regularly lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and / or move up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to lift from floor to above the head, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds occasionally, throughout work shift
  • Must use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
  • Ability and willingness to change job functions at a moment's notice
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
