Job Summary & Description :

Empowered Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team.

In this role, you will build meaningful relationships that inspire confidence, promote independence, and support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living fulfilling, joyful lives.

As a DSP, you will work one-on-one with each customer to understand their unique needs, support them in achieving their goals, and provide care in a positive, encouraging, and safe environment. Our DSPs serve not only as caregivers but also as mentors, advocates, and trusted companions for the individuals we support.

294 : Were looking for a compassionate and attentiveDirect Support Professional (DSP) to support a joyful young woman who loves sunshine, community, and connection. She enjoys spinning in her chair, listening to music, going for walks at the park, swinging, and taking drives with the windows down. Some of her favorite outings include getting Dutch Bros, ice cream, attending equine therapy, and spending time with family, friends, and her weekly church group.

Though she is nonverbal, her bright smile and contagious laughter speak volumes. She thrives on gentle, engaging interaction and companionship especially when others talk to her and share in her favorite moments.

The ideal DSP will :

  • Be comfortable supporting a customer who experiences frequent seizures (every 24 hours) and willing to learn proper response procedures.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including toileting and transfers between seating and standing positions, using both gentleness and steadiness.
  • Remain observant and attentive during rest periods and responsive when shes awake and active.
  • Bring warmth, reliability, and patience to each day.

Schedule :

  • MondayThursday, 8 : 00 AM 6 : 00 PM
  • Fridays (possibly) 9 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM

    Qualifications & Requirements :

  • Experience with the I / DD community is preferred but not required.
  • Must pass a background check. -
  • Not all charges will warrant a disqualification.
  • Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid drivers license, with a good driving record.
  • Musthave your own reliable vehicle, with full coverage auto insurance.
  • Must be comfortable providing respectful support with personal care, including bathroom and hygiene.
  • Compensation and Benefits :

  • Starting pay ranges from $23$25 per hour, depending on a variety of factors, including experience, certifications, and skills.
