Healthcare Construction Project Manager

This role is long-term contract role, with no set end date Join a leading teaching hospital in the South Bronx as a Project Manager overseeing capital construction projects up to $9M. Reporting to the Director of Planning, Design & Construction, you’ll manage projects from pre-construction to occupancy, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities : Manage all phases of healthcare construction projects from RFP through closeout Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and contractor oversight Coordinate A / E teams, prepare Certificate of Need (CON) submissions, and liaise with hospital departments Ensure adherence to ICRA protocols, infection control, safety standards, and regulatory compliance Conduct pre-bid walkthroughs, manage RFIs, review submittals, and oversee change orders Coordinate furniture and finish selections, move-in logistics, and punch list resolution Maintain organized project documentation and deliver consistent updates to leadership and stakeholders Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical preferred), Architecture, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering 3–15 years’ U.S.-based experience (APM title for 3 years’ experience) Proficiency in MS Project, Bluebeam, and MS Office Strong organizational, communication, and project coordination skills Healthcare project experience
