Job Description

The Superintendent - Academic Projects Up To $40M - Boston is responsible for :

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Oversee project execution in healthcare, life science, and higher education sectors, including renovations and occupied facilities.
  • Ensure adherence to all quality control and safety standards, while fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to coordinate logistics and address issues promptly.
  • Monitor and enforce site safety and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Effectively manage field personnel, subcontractors, and materials.

The Successful Applicant

The Superintendent - Academic Projects Up To $40M - Boston will have :

  • 5-10 years of experience as a Superintendent, leading work on your own with demonstrated success.
  • Experience in one or more of our core markets : Healthcare, Life Science, or Academic.
  • Previous experience with projects ranging from $5M to $40M.
  • Must have a valid CSL (Construction Supervisor License).
  • Ability to commute to the Boston area regularly, with projects located 80% in downtown Boston and 20% in the surrounding suburbs.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • A mid-level candidate (not towards the end of their career) is preferred.
