Description :

Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit.

The unit is licensed for 457 beds and is equipped with 19 operating rooms.

The average number of cases performed daily is approximately 55.

Surgical specialties include trauma, orthopedic surgery, vascular, gynecology, and general surgeries.

The PACU also recovers some endoscopy and cardiac catheterization lab cases.

Travelers must have completed at least one travel assignment.

Preoperative skills are necessary, including experience with nerve blocks.

PACU skills should include critical care drip management and cardiac rhythm interpretation.

Nurse must be comfortable working in both Pre-Op and PACU areas.

On weekends, teams collaborate, necessitating adaptable skill sets.

The department promotes teamwork and a positive work culture.

Travelers will work an average of two call shifts within a six-week schedule.

Schedule includes weekend rotation every fourth weekend.

Holiday expectations dictate that travelers work 75% of holidays.

RTO is permitted up to 7 days if the traveler is open to extension.

Scrub color for the unit is navy blue.
