Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Lewes, DE 19958 (Delaware nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting : Acute Care – Labor & Delivery / Women's Health

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 1 / 2025 – End : 3 / 2 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour rotating shifts (Day / Night)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1990 - $2130

Unit Details : 6 LDR beds, 6 Postpartum beds, 60-80 births / month

Nurse-to-Patient Ratio : 1 : 1-2 (Labor), 1 : 3-4 (Mother-baby couples)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Delaware or compact state

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

Required certifications : BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, EFM

Baby Friendly certification (can be obtained if not already held)

Preferred : STABLE certification

Experience with Cerner charting and RxStation medication management preferred

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care to mothers and newborns

Monitor and assess laboring patients, manage labor progression, and assist with deliveries

Provide care for both low and high-risk pregnancies (high-risk births <5%)

Float as needed to sister units, including care for NAS babies and mother-baby couples

Document patient care using Cerner PowerChart (electronic health records)

Accompany high-risk mothers to higher-level care facilities as needed

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
