Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue from corporate, social, and group bookings
- Manage and coordinate all catering and event services, ensuring client satisfaction and seamless execution
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal departments
- Conduct site visits and client meetings to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
- Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and pricing to clients
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote hotel facilities and event spaces
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed to meet targets
- Oversee the planning and execution of events, ensuring quality standards are maintained
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, bookings, and client interactions
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitors to identify new business opportunities
Skills And Qualifications
Proven experience in sales, catering, or event management within the hospitality industryStrong interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent organizational and time-management abilitiesAbility to negotiate and close deals effectivelyKnowledge of hotel operations and event planning processesProficiency in MS Office and hotel management softwareBachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferredAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as neededAdditional Requirements
Involved in community and / or government affairs to ensure effective marketing of the hotelDemonstrate commitment to guest service by responding to guest needsSolicit, negotiate, and book both new and repeat businessUnderstand why competitors are successful in each demand segment and directly market / sell against the competitionKnow key accounts and actively "sell" through sales calls, property tours, strategic marketing, etc.Prepare required reports for the management teamVisually inspect function rooms and equipment before functions for cleanliness, proper inventory, and set upCommunicate with the kitchen, service, beverage, and engineering staff to ensure timely execution of events and quality serviceSupervise clean-up of function room and proper breakdown and storage of equipmentMaintain vendor and client information where necessaryCollaborate with Front Office Team to ensure the details of the group and special corporate directives are executed and aligned with goalsPhysical Demands
