Job Description
The supervisor oversees a team of drivers [Class A and B] delivering to Domino's Pizza stores. The supervisor is responsible for scheduling drivers, routing trucks, reviewing trip sheets for accuracy and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, state, local laws, and company policies and programs. Effectively and efficiently handle customer complaints and concerns. Train new drivers in job duties, safely, and complete Job Safety Observations (JSO). The supervisor must be comfortable working in a diverse, fast paced environment.
Salary : 75-78K + 10% TAD Bonus
Schedule : Sun - Wed 4pm - 2am
Responsibilities and Duties
Leadership :
- Recruit, interview, select, and mentor new and tenured drivers
- Support driver engagement initiatives
- Monitor driver's performance and hold them accountable when performance is below expectations, using coaching and / or progressive discipline as needed
- Complete driver's annual performance reviews
- Review driver's lytx and logs and coach according to company
- Collaborate in driver onboarding and training
- Ensure safe work environment in compliance with FMCSA, OSHA, company standards, local, state, and federal requirements
- Effectively communicate day-to-day with drivers, departments, and vendors
- Create positive environment, morale, and respect among team members
- Attend and participate in classroom or virtual Leadership & Development trainings
- Coordinate safety / team / quarterly meetings
Reporting / Budget :
Prepare and assist with Transportation generated reportsMonitor budget and fuel cards to ensure funds are maximizedParticipate in the development of budgetsRouting, Scheduling, Hours of Service, and Maintenance :
Weekly schedule driver routes and re-routing as necessary to ensure route coverageConduct route analysis and recommend saving opportunities to ManagerMonitor driver hours of service via the onboard systemConduct route observations to ensure Drivers are safely performing their duties as required by company and DOT standards (The number of observations per period is determined by the number of drivers at the SCC)Maintain and monitor food safety standards in compliance with company and franchisee requirementsPerform payroll duties when necessary and review driver payroll for accuracyMonitor misdeliveries, and make recommendations to the manager on avoidance strategiesMaintain driver qualification fileSchedule truck maintenance and maintain fleet imageConduct accident investigationsCoordinate deliveries and backhaul activitiesAssist the Transportation Manager with truck leasing meetings to ensure PMs are met to Domino's standard and repairs are completed in a timely mannerPerform other duties as assigned by leadershipAs needed, if qualified, drive a company vehicle or straight truck for deliveries or to the leasing company for service / maintenance, and on occasion, work the yardWillingness to support a 24-hour operation, including carrying an emergency cell phone as neededCustomer Relations :

High School Diploma, some college hours, 2-year degree preferred2-3 years of documented supervisory experience2-3 years route scheduling experienceKnowledge of Department of Transportation, FMSCA rules and regulationsMS Office, SAP, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), computers, and scanner equipment / softwareResults-oriented with strong organizational, decision making and people skillsSuccessfully pass a background check every third year on your anniversary dateCommercial Driver's License Class A, a plusPhysical Requirements
Ability to stand and / or walk for extended periods of time, climb stairs, and lift to 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. on occasionAbility to bend, twist, reach, push, and pull throughout the shiftAbility to work in extreme temperatures (non-airconditioned warehouse), both indoors and outdoors, including refrigerated conditions [33-38]Ability to work in an environment with exposure to loud machineryMust be able to work around yeast and flourAdditional Information
