Director of Operations

Position Summary

The Bridge Center is an initiative of the Public Health Institute (PHI). It strengthens the impact of hospital emergency departments (EDs) on population health issues and health equity. Our largest program, CA Bridge, has supported over 280 hospitals in the last six years to implement medication for addiction treatment (MAT) in the ED. Our National Expansion Project builds capacity for ED MAT in every state. Our Emergency Medical Services program extends the administration of low barrier MAT to paramedics. Our Emergency Department Syphilis / HIV / HCV Screening Program (EDSP) expands routine opt-out testing for these infections to increase public health equity and provide immediate care for people at highest risk. Our newest program, Access Bridge, builds the capacity of America’s emergency departments (EDs) to serve as reproductive health safety nets.

The Director of Operations oversees the Bridge program’s operational, financial, and administrative functions. This position leads the program’s financial administration and budgeting, program reporting processes, and large-scale procurements and subcontract management. The Director of Operations also provides contractual oversight of program awards and agreements, maintains operational infrastructure to support program needs, and collaborates with PHI to ensure fiscal and policy compliance.

This position reports to the Deputy Director.
