Job descriptionCreate Precise Cost Estimates : Prepare detailed material and labor takeoffs and price all project components for major construction bids. Manage Subcontractor Bidding : Lead the full subcontractor bid process including solicitation scope review and price negotiation to ensure competitive bids. Analyze and Apply Market Data : Research current material and labor costs as well as construction market trends to ensure estimates are accurate and competitive. Collaborate on Preconstruction : Work closely with Project Management and Engineering teams to ensure estimates support construction feasibility and value engineering. Maintain Systems : Organize and update all cost data and bid records for continuous accuracy improvement.
Qualifications :
- Experience : Three (3) to five (5) years of direct experience in Construction Estimating.
- Education : Bachelors Degree in Construction Management Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Document Fluency : Strong ability to read interpret and coordinate construction drawings and specifications.
- Software Skills : Proficiency in Excel (advanced) and industry-standard estimating / takeoff software.
- Core Values : Must demonstrate professionalism integrity and a strong work ethic.
