$5,000 hiring bonus for eligible external candidates that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

The Recreational Therapist provides a variety of therapeutic social, recreational and diversional events for participants. Conducts individual assessment to identify the participants' individual interests / needs. Develops and implements an appropriate variety of individual and group activities. Participates in interdisciplinary care planning. Coordinates the recreation documentation for her / his assigned group of participants. Leads facility-wide participant-centered events.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree Recreation Therapy
  • Upon hire : National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Upon hire : Washington Recreational Therapist Registration
  • Within 6 months (180 days) of hire : National Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist - National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification - if practicing within this state
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • 2 years Providing recreation with the elderly or disabled.

    Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.

    HCC provides a full range of services and support for people of all ages, especially those facing chronic or life-limiting illnesses.
