Write-Up Supervisor
Provides 2nd level management over a large geographical territory of field service engineering and technical staff. Monitors performance metrics and allocates resources as necessary to ensure high quality service at optimal efficiency. Typically requires at least seven years of supervision of field service technical services teams.
Job Description
We are looking for a Write-Up Supervisor to lead the estimation department to perform thorough inbound railcar inspections, submit comprehensive and accurate estimate packages, and supports plant production. The Write-Up Supervisor will also support the production team with other initiatives as needed.
Job Requirements
Inspect estimate packages for completeness and accuracy in a timely manner.
Lead preprocess research.
Work with scheduling to ensure estimates are complete to meet production demand.
Provide necessary training and development to inspectors.
Interface with engineering, car owners, and customers for repair instructions (contract review).
Verify the incorporation of supplemental repairs into final Billing Repair Card (BRC).
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of supplemental repairs.
Accept actions items from Daily Management System around write-up improvements.
Able to perform tasks that require climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms. Verifies cars are properly secured and identified prior to releasing.
Able to pass drug screen and physical.
