Position Summary

To lead Physical Education activities for school aged children. Instruct the students on the specific class technique as well as general health and fitness tips.

Essential Functions

• Instruct program participants
• Ensure effective preparation for each class, including class format, music and equipment.
• Must be able to lift & carry 40 lbs.
• Meet all health and safety regulations as defined by Health Department & The Salvation Army.
• Must be in good physical and mental health. Capable of meeting high demands of Fitness department.

Working Conditions

Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to be able to lift up to 10 lbs. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinets drawers and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, fax and telephone.
